I managed to install the themes and am now using the "Shiki-Brave" theme. (Yes, I know that blue themes are a cliche but I find them to be easier on my eyes than more brightly colored themes). But with some experimentation, persistence -- and maybe some luck -- I combined steps from two different sources and was able to install the themes. It's worth the effort, IMHO; they are very nice. Above that sources.list area, find the "Read about installing" hyperlink and click it. Begin following the instructions in the oop-up window. c.1). In the "Adding the PPA to Ubuntu" section, follow steps 1-6 exactly as stated. c.2). In the "Telling Ubuntu how to authenticate" section, modify Step 2 slightly. Paste in the command line: sudo apt-key adv --recv-keys --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com 2d79f61be8d31a30 (from the "To install the OpenPGP key ..." in the Description box at the top of the webpage). c.3.) In your Terminal / Console, type: sudo apt-get update c.4). In your Terminal, type: sudo apt-get install install gnome-colors shiki-colors arc-colors At this point, apt should install the various components of the packages above. (The installation will take a few minutes). Now you can follow the rest of the instructions given on _this_ webpage and everything should work OK.
